While Geovany Soto has been handling most of the catching lately, Norris has caught all 11 games that Lester has started in an A’s uniform. Though Soto is better defensively, there’s no way I’d feel comfortable with Soto catching Lester for the first time in the biggest game of the season. Even if Norris provides absolutely no offense, which won’t be too surprising based on his awful second half, he still has to play in this game.
