9. Eric Sogard, 2B
Sogard has been a pleasant surprise for the A’s in the second half. Apparently he didn’t get the memo that the rest of team got to dominate in the first half and fall apart in the second. He’s batting .273 since the all-star break, but really any offense he provides should be considered a bonus. Even if he didn’t swing, I’d still want him in the lineup for his defense. Also, if he plays there’s the added bonus of Alberto Callaspo not being in the lineup.
