The offseason is really tough to get through, especially for us Oakland A’s fans. Billy Beane has tried his best to entertain us with all of the moves he’s made, but sometimes it’s not enough. Here are 3 things you can do to ease the pain.
1. Play MLB The Show
This has been a great help getting through the offseason. If you can’t watch the real team play, then the next best thing is playing as them! You can play the game, or you can simulate the game and just watch, almost as if you’re watching a real game. It simulates the other teams and player stats so if you play season mode, you get the actual feel of a real season. The best part? No off days! you can play a game a day, more than that even. This is a huge help to ease the pain of the offseason. I highly recommend it.
2. Watch Moneyball
As an A’s fan, no other movie helps you get through the offseason as much as this one does. The great duo of Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill make this movie watchable more than once. I could watch this movie every other day and not get tired of it. It may be of the 2002 season, but it beats not having anything. Watching this movie is also a big help in easing the pain.
3. Read Articles
If you’re reading this, you probably already do this one. I scour the web looking for any piece of A’s news. The best place for you to read A’s news is right here at Swingin’ A’s! We are real fans writing these articles so you get to read your A’s news from people who understand the team the best, real fans. I myself go on Bleacher Report and look for any possible news I can, as well as googling “Oakland A’s” and reading every article there is in the news section. This really helps ease the pain as well makes you an informed fan. You can prove how much of a fan you are by being up to date with the team and knowing the impact of what happens. You can always check this website on a daily basis!
