The Oakland A’s have their first Spring Training game on the 26th against the San Francisco Giants. That kicks off their Cactus League schedule that can be seen here at the official website. Unfortunately Spring Training games can’t really be found on TV. If you’re wondering where you can watch these games, you have two choices. You can go to Arizona and watch them play in person, or you can pay for MLB.TV.

The second choice will probably cost you less unless you live in Arizona. There is good news, and there is bad news. First the bad. The broadcast schedule for MLB.TV currently only has 11 A’s games to watch before the season starts. The games available for viewing are as follows:

Sunday March 2nd, 12:05 p.m. – Oakland Athletics vs. Los Angeles Angels

Monday March 3rd, 12:05 p.m. – Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Oakland Athletics

Wednesday March 5th, 12:05 p.m. – Milwaukee Brewers vs. Oakland Athletics

Monday March 10th, 1:05 p.m. – Oakland Athletics vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Thursday March 13th, 7:05 p.m. – Colorado Rockies vs. Oakland Athletics

Saturday March 15th, 3:05 p.m. – Oakland Athletics (ss) vs. SF Giants (ss)

Friday March 21st, 6:35 p.m. – Oakland Athletics vs. SF Giants

Sunday March 23rd, 1:05 p.m. – Chicago Cubs vs. Oakland Athletics

Thursday March 27th, 7:15 p.m. – Oakland Athletics vs. SF Giants

Friday March 28th, 7:15 p.m. – Oakland Athletics vs. SF Giants

Saturday March 29th, 1:05 p.m. – SF Giants vs. Oakland Athletics

So as you can see you’d be paying for MLB.TV and you’d only get 11 preseason games out of 30 or so. But there is good news. There is a monthly plan you can pay. If you pay 24.99 for the premium plan for 1 month you also get the MLB At Bat App so you can keep track of the game pitch by pitch of the games you can’t watch. so for 24.99 you’re paying for the app and can watch 11 games on whatever device you want. Thats about $2 a game plus the app. So that’s all the info you need if you want to watch games during spring training!
