Twitter is going nuts with the news of our beloved Oakland Athletics’ third consecutive post season berth. Fans both loyal and of the bandwagon persuasion have taken to the social network to brag about the jewels of October baseball and their creativity, humor and excitement have been a blast to read. This week’s Twitter round up is a little late but there are no strikes in the bunch, all balls. You’re not going to see any junk in this post so sit back, put your legs up and enjoy the Wild Card Edition of the weekly Twitter Roundup.*
I dare you to find a lady who doesn’t totally love Sonny Gray right now. I dare you!
The fact that these guys are excited for their newest team mate speaks volumes as to why we love this team.
Excited for my teammate Adam Dunn! After a career of battling, welcome to the champagne party!!! #MLBplayoffs

There has never been a Twitter Roundup that didn’t feature Fake Fosse and there probably never will be (he pays a handsome royalty). I have also taken a cheap shot at Callaspo in 18 consecutive articles. This tweet has it all!
I'm waiting for the guys to hoist callaspo on their shoulders and parade him around the room chanting MVP

Nothing keeps us more honest than a little perspective.
I’m not a father but if I were, a tweet like this from my daughter would probably make me cry. That whole family is a class act.
After we saw this picture come onto Twitter, we should have shut down for the day.
Look away @FakeFosse. pic.twitter.com/vGjXpJP7XH

More Kara is never a bad thing. See you in October ma’am!
Tears of joy...and sweet relief!! So proud of my @Athletics!

I was in the middle of playing a song for a musical today when the game finished (I was watching on my phone while I played). The guy behind me and I did this exact pose, passed a fist bump and continued playing our song.

Melvin says he and team understand what #Athletics fans have been going through - they have been too. They appreciate the support.

#Athletics finished '14 w/ +157 run differential. 14 better than any other team. For comparison, Royals had +27. Worst of any playoff team.

I, for one, cannot wait until Tuesday’s game. I will be at the Swingin’ A’s Viewing Party with some good friends, some new friends and some soon to be friends and will be sure to put our shenanigans up on Twitter. I know that haters are gonna hate and that there is always a troll to rain on a parade but if you, as an A’s fan, didn’t get a little lump in your throat when Sonny closed out his game or when they stormed the mound or when they drowned The Donkey in champagne or when they killed that reporter or when Reddick pranced around in his little boy undies, you’ve missed the whole point of being a fan of this team. Enjoy the game on Tuesday and be sure to return to Swingin’ A’s for all the news, analysis and recapping you can handle.
Let’s go Oakland!
*Apologies for all of the puns relating to Reddick’s “outfit”
