Another week has passed, which means only one thing: we are a week closer to the start of the 2015 season! The rumor mill has been quiet over the past fews days, but with pitchers and catchers reporting soon, business should pick up again real soon in the AL West.
Over at Halo Hangout, Mike Greyshock looks at international free agent Hector Olivera and wonders if he could be the solution to the Angels’ second base dilemma.
Mike also takes a look at left field in the Big A, and gives us some insight as to what the Angels may be up to with Josh Hamilton injured. The same rules may apply if he continues to be unproductive.
Over at Climbing Tal’s Hill, they’re looking at the best all-time seasons by Astros players. This one is of interest because Craig Biggio is involved–twice.
An enemy of an enemy is our friend, right? Well guess who else doesn’t like the Rangers.
Over at Sodo Mojo, they had a few interesting pieces over the weekend. The first takes a look at who they project to be on the Mariners’ Opening Day roster.
That was their optimistic piece. The next two call some of the optimism surrounding the team into question.
The final piece from Sodo Mojo almost begs the baseball gods to strike them down.
Apparently left field is a problem in this division. The Angels’ page wrote about their issues, the A’s certainly could use an upgrade, Safeco is huge, and then there’s this.
Heath Criswell takes a look at who he thinks could fill out the Ranger rotation this season. With the A’s ownage of Yu Darvish in recent years, this could be a rotation Oakland can exploit.
That’s it for this edition. Tony and myself have a lot of news to share from FanFest yesterday, so we’ll be posting those throughout the week. Check back often!
