You’d be crazy to think that our beef with Machado is going to dissipate simply because Josh Donaldson isn’t on the Oakland Athletics any more.
The young third baseman from Baltimore has a lot to learn about etiquette and the “unwritten rules” of baseball. He also needs to learn to keep his temper reserved for things that truly warrant a tantrum and to keep a better grip on his bat when he’s swinging at balls in the dirt. We won’t see the Orioles and Machado in Oakland until August. That would be enough time for most fan bases to forgive and forget but, as the saying goes, an elephant never forgets so Manny should look forward to a resurrection of the giant baby heads in the stands come August.
Or he should just stay home that week.
