Jesse Chavez – There is more unknown with Chavez’s role than with hahn because he was used as a starter last year until the A’s received rotation help mideason. He was great until his workload got the best of him and he surpassed his career innings total. He could be used in a similar way in 2015, open in the rotation but move to the bullpen when rotation help comes in the form of A.J. Griffin and/or Jarrod Parker.

Two Key Stats: 1. 31-years-old. The A’s reclaimed Chavez – a career journeyman -and turned him into a bonafide major leaguer, could he be trade bait? 2. His 8.4 K/9 with Oakland is a great sight. If he pitches out of the rotation he will provide deep mixed league value as a late round grab due to his strikeout potential and home ballpark.

Chavez is going undrafted in ESPN standard leagues, and is owned in just 0.2 percent of leagues.
