R.J. Alvarez – Alvarez was the second piece coming to Oakland in the Norris deal. He has a strong track record of success in the minor leagues and is a flame thrower. He possesses a 13.4 K/9 in the minor leagues, but a 3.8 BB/9. If the A’s can iron out his command issues he may be the closer of the future, and he may even earn some saves in 2015.

Keep tabs on Cook and Alvarez should Clippard struggle and Doolittle not return this season.
