The Oakland Athletics have had a rough first half of the 2015 season. They are currently last in the American League West, they are nine games under .500, and they are 8.5 games back from the division leading Los Angeles Angels. Even though the team has not been performing well together, there have been some individual players who have stood out among the crowd.

The Athletics have been succeeding in most areas – just not all at the same time. The starting lineup has helped the A’s earn the sixth most runs, the third most triples, and seventh most RBI in the MLB. The Athletics’ pitching has also been on point if the bullpen is not taken into consideration. They have the sixth lowest ERA in the MLB and two of the starters are in the top 15 for lowest ERA.

Due to personal performances so far this season, many of the A’s players are the center of numerous trade rumors. With so many players wanted by other teams, it will be interesting to see who will no longer be an Oakland Athletic once the trade deadline passes. But for now, let’s give out some midseason awards before anyone is traded.
