The Oakland Athletics had a rough year and will most likely be rebuilding once again this offseason. However, there are some players that deserve some recognition. When looking back on the season as a whole, perhaps chemistry did play a larger part in the Athletics’ demise than one would have thought since Oakland did have quality players in their lineup. None of the position players performed especially bad – even those who landed on the DL at some point during the season – except for Billy Butler. The starting rotation was also solid besides all of the injuries they incurred.

Yes, the bullpen probably had the worse crop of players. It is likely that this is the one area that will be completely overhauled this offseason. However, they did have some solid moments toward to the middle of the season and all of them definitely worked hard in order to try and improve their numbers. Additionally, some of the younger relief pitchers that were called up in September showed some promise for the future A’s bullpen.

Overall, there were some that stood out among the crowd. These players shone in their various positions and continued to give 110% each and every day despite Oakland’s losing record. Let’s give out some Oakland Athletics’ 2015 Season Awards. It is time to take a look at who was the best infielder, best outfielder, best relief pitcher, Rookie of the Year, Cy Young, and MVP for the green and gold.
