Jose Canseco has become known for a variety of reasons on Twitter. His ongoing claims of hanging out with Bigfoot and aliens, his inability to spell his own name when plugging his petrol/car wash business, and continually one-sided feud with Alex Rodriguez are amongst the highlights. He has made himself one of the great follows on social media as his content never disappoints.

After some relative silence when it came to Rodriguez, Canseco is back and taking aim at his usual foe. This time, he is challenging the former shortstop to a boxing match.

Canseco may want to shy away from the ring for a while. When last we saw him attempt to box, he was downed by a Barstool intern in just over ten seconds. Canseco claimed that his shoulder and knee injuries were the reason for such a poor showing, tweeting out the medical results and saying that he would have surgery.

As with every other tweet Canseco has made about Rodriguez, there is no indication that he will entertain such offers. In fact, there is no indication that Rodriguez even knows of this rather one-sided feud as he has not engaged in any of this at all.

One also has to wonder what the prize would be. Perhaps Canseco thinks that if he beats up A-Rod, he can win the favor of Jennifer Lopez. His infatuation with J-Lo was a common theme as he attempted to steal her from Rodriguez, claiming that he had proof A-Rod was cheating on her.

Alas, such a match is unlikely to happen. Rodriguez has his broadcasting career, the Kay-Rod Sunday Night Baseball bit, and ownership of the Timberwolves to focus on. Canseco has…a petrol station. One has a lot more to look at.

Jose Canseco is back with a new focus on an old nemesis. This time, he wants Alex Rodriguez to face him in the ring when he’s healthy once again.
