Tony Kemp

Tony Kemp has been a beloved figure in the clubhouse and in the community since joining the Oakland A’s.

He has used his voice and position to help bring conversations about race to the forefront, doing everything he can to be a force for equality. Kemp has been a leader in the community and in the locker room, providing a strong veteran voice on a team that could use one.

Kemp is another player that has disappointed with the bat this season. After posting a career year in 2021, he saw his production take a hit as he regressed to his previous form. But that had to be expected considering the roster around him was ripped apart.

Even if Kemp continues to produce at his career norm, he can still be a valuable asset. His ability to shift between left and second gives him the versatility that teams appreciate. His leadership and reputation in the locker room make him a respected presence. Teams looking for a solid left handed bat and a bit more versatility could use a player such as Kemp.

If he is made available, Tony Kemp could draw plenty of interest due to his versatility and leadership. The Orioles, Phillies, and Mariners could make sense as possible landing spots.
