We should all expect plenty of offense tonight when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Oakland Athletics.

The Oakland Athletics lost their third straight game on Wednesday night in what was a complete blowout, losing by a score of 10-1 to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

They'll wrap their series up against the Dodgers on Thursday night, and while I'm not going to be bold enough to bet on the A's, I think the OVER is a great bet tonight.

Let's dive into it.

Athletics vs. Dodgers odds, run line, and total

Athletics vs. Dodgers prediction and pick

You might see that JP Sears is pitching for the A's tonight and convince yourself that the Athletics can hold the Dodgers' offense in check, but Los Angeles has completely flipped the script on how they've fared against lefties this season.

In fact, over the last 30 days the A's rank second in the Majors in OPS against lefties at .857. They also have the second most total runs scored against left-handed pitchers over that time frame at 46.

But, with that being said, the Athletics have been good in their own right against lefties. Since the start of July they're 19th in OPS against lefties at .697 while batting .249 against them. Sure, those numbers aren't exactly eye-popping, but based on where the A's have normally ranked in offensive categories this season, those numbers are relatively fantastic.

Left-handed starter, Julio Urias, will go for the Dodgers tonight and he's been bad this month. He sports a 6.23 ERA in July, so don't be surprised if the Athletics can score a few runs on him.

I'm surprised the total is set at just 8.5 tonight so I won't hesitate in taking the OVER.
