Will the A's make it four in a row winning their second consecutive series?

The Oakland Athletics can't be defeated anymore. Or at least that's been the case for the past few days after they have put together three consecutive victories for the first time this season, all of them on the road.

The A's opened their first series of the week against the Pirates dropping that game but then bounced back to win the series in Pittsburg (2-1) and they're looking to extend that positive streak after defeating 5-2 their latest host in the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.

Another win today or on Sunday, ahead of a pivotal Monday in the history of the Oakland Athletics, would mark the fourth series victory of the season for Oakland.

The Athletics could win four consecutive games for the first time this year and the third time since the start of last season, when they did it twice at the end of July and the final four games of the campaign.

Oakland will use Paul Blackburn (0-0) as their starter while Milwaukee is projected to go with Julio Teheran (1-2). The matchup is wildly unbalanced by the numbers, with the A's hurler dragging a 6.00 ERA to Teheran's 1.56.

Blackburn has made two starts this season (he missed time injured at the start of the year) totaling nine innings and allowing 11 hits to go with nine strikeouts and four walks. This will be Blackburn's first career outing against the Brewers through 53 games and 50 starts in MLB ground.

Julio Teheran, a free-agent acquisition by the Brewers this season, has pitched a couple of games in June splitting the outcomes into an even 1-1. The last time he did it, against the Reds last Tuesday, he went through 6.1 innings allowing six hits and two earned runs, all Cincy needed to put up the final 2-0 result on the scoreboard.

The Athletics (15-50) and the Brewers (34-30) sit at nearly opposite ends of their respective divisions with the A's in last place and Milwaukee in second position trailing the NL Central-leading Pirates (33-29) by .001 percent points.
