Feeling pretty good after her chat with Reddick, Jennifer decides to touch Coco’s afro. With her hand reached out, she could feel a strange energy radiating from the majestic fro.
“I’m scared,” she said.
“It’s all good, Jennifer, Coco’s afro will never hurt you.”
She spread her fingers and lightly touched his afro and felt a rush of electricity flow through her body. Visions of baseball games and pizza vendors and melting Dibbs flooded her mind and for a brief moment she blacked out completely only to awaken months later as the A’s were approaching the World Series.
“How is this happening? How has a season passed in just a moment? What’s going on?” the panic in Jennifer’s voice was clear and present.
“Coco’s afro has magic powers, Jennifer,” Crisp explained. “It’s October now. We did it. We had the best season in Oakland history and you’re here to witness the thrilling conclusion.”
