Coco Crisp: You were probably surprised to see this name on the list- especially since it has only consisted of new players so far. Well, that’s the point. In the 4 years Coco has been with the A’s he has become a part of Oakland. He’s stolen as many hearts as he has bases. 4 years may not seem like an eternity but for an A’s fan it sure means a lot. Crisp has the heart and soul, he IS Oakland! And this makes him an incredible asset to the team. At 35 years old his Home Runs and Stolen Bases may be slowing down. But the threat is still there and he will still make a significant contribution of Homers and SB’s to this season. With so many new players the comfort of a familiar face is necessary. It will be fun to watch another one of Crisp’s seasons and keep up with his crazy hairstyles and lovable walk up songs. Coco keeps us smiling all season long.
2015 will be an exciting season to watch with lots of new players to follow. We are excited to welcome them all to Oakland. And remember… In Beane we trust.
