Special Notes:
Former Athletic Jed Lowrie haunted his former club with a three RBI night that included a home run, a walk, and two hits. The Athletics were also out pitched with 13 strike outs going against the team. Sam Fuld, in his constant bid to not be sent to the minors, hit his third triple of the season and is one away from matching his 2014 Oakland triples. Lawrie was one K away from his second golden sombrero and now leads the team in strike outs with 12. Although the grabbed their first series win of the season they missed their first sweep with this loss. The Oakland Athletics also remained in first place for the day and are heading to Kansas City who are currently on a two game losing streak.
